Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):

•    Overseeing land use and environmental planning projects from start to finish
•    Managing teams working on residential, commercial, and renewable energy projects
•    Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
•    Leading community engagement and working with stakeholders and consultants
•    Developing and implementing long-range planning policies
•    Managing consultant contracts and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget

Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:

•    Bachelor's or Master’s degree in urban planning, environmental management, or a related field
•    3+ years of experience in regulatory planning, land use permitting, long-range planning, or environmental management
•    Strong leadership and team management skills
•    Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and permitting processes
•    Excellent communication and public presentation skills
•    Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
•    Experience in community outreach and inclusive engagement practices
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
