A prominent national law firm is seeking an Energy Transactional Associate to join its oil and gas practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level associate to work on sophisticated energy matters with meaningful deal responsibility and direct exposure to both partners and clients.
What you'll do
- Advise on upstream and midstream energy transactions, including gathering, processing, transportation, storage, and fractionation arrangements
- Draft and negotiate a range of midstream commercial agreements
- Support acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and development agreements in the energy sector
- Assist with financing arrangements related to energy assets
- Independently manage discrete components of transactions from inception through closing
- Collaborate within deal teams while maintaining direct contact with partners and clients
What you'll bring
- Four to six years of experience focused on energy transactions
- Substantive background in upstream and/or midstream oil and gas matters
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills across a variety of energy agreements
- Demonstrated ability to handle independent workstreams within complex deals
- Commitment to collaborative, team-oriented practice
- Active law license in good standing
