Our client, a utility-scale renewable energy developer, is seeking a Senior Manager of Preconstruction Solar to support an active pipeline of solar PV and battery energy storage projects. Sitting within the preconstruction function and reporting to a director-level leader, this role bridges early- and mid-stage development with execution-ready construction handoff across a growing project portfolio.

What you'll do

  • Compile and maintain pricing trend data to inform project budgets and investment decisions
  • Conduct constructability reviews and maintain construction risk registries for projects approaching ready-for-construction status
  • Develop preliminary construction schedules to support development milestones
  • Prepare EPC request-for-proposal packages and provide support through bidding and contracting processes
  • Coordinate EPC contractor handoff to internal construction teams, ensuring continuity across the project lifecycle

What you'll bring

  • Demonstrated experience in preconstruction management within the utility-scale solar PV and/or battery energy storage (BESS) sector
  • Strong command of EPC pricing, capex estimating methodologies, and construction risk assessment
  • Ability to manage deliverables across a portfolio of projects simultaneously at various stages of development
  • Familiarity with RFP preparation, contractor procurement, and contracting support processes
  • Effective cross-functional coordination skills, particularly between development and construction teams
